How did the world become populated from just 2 people?

The story told by evolution is that there were some apes that gave birth to creatures who had some human characteristics and that the males were able to find the females and then produce some more advanced and so on. There does not seem to be any explanation as to how those primitive humans were able to survive. The story told in the Bible is much different, that mankind was created in the image of God by special creation both men and women (Genesis 1:27). There are those who argue that God created a bunch of male and females at that point in the beginning. However, we read a more detailed account of the creation of one man, Adam, from the dust of the earth and one woman taken from Adam’s side as a perfect help for him (Genesis 2:7,21-25). We read that Adam lived for 930 years and had sons and daughters (Gen. 5:4). When they were first created Adam and his wife Eve, were genetically perfect and were living in a perfect environment until after sin came in and they were driven out of the garden of Eden. Even then the pre-flood era was an environment much better than what we live in today. A perfect woman could conceive and have a child every 9 months for several hundred years and those children would have children etc. fast filling up the earth. It has been calculated that even if each family only had 6 children and they had 6 children etc. by the time their parents were 80 years, then in the first 800 years there was already a population of 120,000 people. By the time of the flood, 1,656 years after creation, it is conservatively estimated that there was a population on the earth of at least 7 billion people! (see The Genesis Record by Dr. Henry Morris) Then they started over again after the flood with Shem, Ham and Japheth. Again, we have no reason to doubt the clear teaching of the Word of God.
